Our verdict on Highway Connect

Highway Connect is a carrier-management platform for freight brokers and third-party logistics providers. It brings carrier sourcing, identity verification, self-service onboarding, certificate and insurance management, compliance rules, and ongoing risk monitoring into one workflow. Teams can set standards for insurance, authority, lane history, and equipment, then receive alerts when carrier information changes or requirements are no longer met. Automated deactivation can also be applied in connected transportation-management systems.

The plan structure separates core carrier operations from more specialized fraud controls. Connect Core covers sourcing, onboarding, certificate management, carrier monitoring, and TMS integration. Load Lock adds real-time alerts, continuous compliance, exception routing, advanced fraud detection, and secure rate confirmation delivery. Fraud Prevention Add Ons extend the package with Highway for Email, Highway for VoIP, Exclusion Intel, Load Limit, and Load Lock+. This makes the product suitable for organizations that want to add risk controls around an existing carrier-management process rather than adopt a narrowly focused verification tool.

Ecosystem fit is a central consideration. Highway Connect lists integrations with 3PL Systems, BrokerPro, McLeod Software, Revenova, Sunnybrook TMS, Tai Software, Transfix, Transport Pro, Aljex, Alvys, AscendTMS, MercuryGate TMS, Shipwell, Trimble, and Turvo. That breadth supports workflows where compliance decisions and deactivation need to connect with a TMS. Choose Highway Connect if carrier identity, configurable compliance, and continuous monitoring are priorities across connected systems. Organizations seeking a standalone mobile product or a simple carrier directory should look elsewhere; the listed platform is web-based and its capabilities are structured around broker and 3PL operations.
