Hetzner Web Hosting provides shared hosting for websites, email, online shops, and business applications. Its four paid plans combine storage, mailboxes, databases, PHP support, caching, backups, and SSL. The offering suits established sites that need more storage than a basic hosting package, as well as WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopware projects. Hosting is operated from German data centers, and the service has been offered by Hetzner Online GmbH since 1997.
The plan structure is straightforward. Webhosting S includes 10 GB of storage, unlimited mailboxes, one database, one cron job, and Varnish. Webhosting M raises storage to 50 GB, with five databases and five cron jobs. Webhosting L provides 100 GB, 20 databases, and 10 cron jobs, adding Redis, SSH, and Node.js. Webhosting XL reaches 300 GB, with 50 databases, 20 cron jobs, and telephone support. All listed plans include unlimited mailboxes, while daily backups can be retained for up to 14 days.
Application and platform coverage is a notable strength. The service supports MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, phpMyAdmin, ODBC access, PHP, Varnish caching, Redis object caching, and a one-click WordPress installer. Free Basic SSL and Let's Encrypt certificates are included, and migration is available for up to three qualifying internal Hetzner accounts. The main trade-off is tier separation: database capacity, scheduled jobs, SSH, Node.js, and telephone support depend on the selected plan. Choose Hetzner Web Hosting for storage-heavy sites with varied database or application needs; smaller projects needing only the simplest hosting setup may not need the upper-tier capabilities.
