Our verdict on HENNGE Lock

HENNGE Lock is a free mobile authenticator for multi-factor authentication, aimed especially at people using HENNGE Access Control. It generates RFC 6238-compliant time-based one-time passwords and provides push approval notifications for HENNGE Access Control sign-ins. The app runs on iOS and Android, and its OTP management interface supports multiple accounts. It also works with common services including AWS, Dropbox, GitHub, Google Accounts, Google Workspace, Microsoft Accounts and Yahoo! JAPAN.

Pricing is straightforward: the Free plan includes time-based OTP generation and push OTP for HENNGE Access Control. HENNGE describes the app as free for users subscribed to HENNGE Access Control. There are no paid tiers in the published plan structure, so the main buying decision is whether its mobile OTP and HENNGE approval features match the account and service mix. For organizations already using HENNGE Access Control, the push workflow gives the product a more specific role than a basic code generator.

Its strongest feature is the combination of standard TOTP support with one-step login approval for HENNGE Access Control. The broad compatibility list also makes it practical for accounts across cloud, social and productivity services, while six-digit OTP support keeps the core experience familiar. The trade-off is focus: HENNGE Lock is confined to iOS and Android, and push approvals are tied to HENNGE Access Control rather than serving as a general approval method across every supported service. Choose it for free mobile OTP coverage with HENNGE integration; consider an alternative if you need broader platform coverage or more extensive account administration.
