Helios Version 12 is salon point-of-sale and management software for tanning, hair and spa businesses. Its tanning-specific tools include equipment configuration and skin-type records alongside sales, inventory, packages and memberships. That combination makes it a fit for salon operators who need checkout and recurring membership management tied to tanning equipment, particularly those managing multiple locations or EFT memberships.

The Desktop edition is a Windows POS application. For multi-location operations, Version 12 Enterprise provides a hosted network that supports multiple locations, while a web Backoffice offers remote administration and reporting. Helios also lists a client app for appointment management and account updates, plus integrated credit-card processing. These options give salons a path from desktop operations to hosted multi-location administration, though the documented appointment functions are client-facing and do not establish UV-bed or spray-tan assignment workflows.

Tanning equipment configuration is a distinguishing area: operators can set equipment levels, maximum tan times and start delays, and the software records client skin types through questionnaires and mandatory skin-type recording. Digital document management and signature capture add to its client-record capabilities. Choose Helios if those tanning-specific controls, memberships, POS and multi-location deployment match the salon's workflow. Salons whose primary requirement is verified appointment assignment to UV beds or spray-tan services should compare alternatives with those workflows explicitly documented.

    • Enterprise deployment may be more than a single salon needs.
