Our verdict on Heaven Mail
Heaven Mail provides hosted email for individuals, families, freelancers, and small businesses, with mailboxes on a Heaven Mail subdomain or a customer-owned domain. Its webmail and IMAP/SMTP access suit people who want to connect standard email clients rather than rely only on a provider-specific interface. The service advertises encrypted mailbox storage, German data residency, no ad scanning, and Mbox export. It is a fit for buyers seeking a straightforward email service with residency and portability considerations; teams needing advanced collaboration should compare its Business features with broader alternatives.
The published plans show a Free tier at $0 per month with one mailbox, 1 GB storage, a custom heavenmail.com subdomain, and IMAP, SMTP, and webmail. Pro costs $5 per month and adds five mailboxes, 10 GB per mailbox, use of a customer-owned domain, and priority support. Business costs $12 per seat per month and includes unlimited mailboxes, 50 GB per seat, shared inboxes, an admin console, a 99.9% SLA, and dedicated onboarding. Buyers should distinguish the per-mailbox Pro allowance from Business's per-seat storage and pricing units when comparing costs.
Compatibility is a practical strength: Heaven Mail documents access across web, iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux, and names Apple Mail, Microsoft Outlook, and Mozilla Thunderbird as integrations. The product supports DKIM and DMARC, while Mbox export offers a way to take mailbox data elsewhere. Custom domains are confined to paid plans, and shared inboxes and administration are Business-only, so the free plan is best for basic personal email and Pro for individuals or small groups wanting their own domain. Organizations that need shared workflow features should consider Business; buyers seeking only a free custom-domain mailbox should look elsewhere.
