Our verdict on Harmonizr

Harmonizr is a vocal harmonizer for singers and musicians working on iPhone or iPad. It generates up to three automatic harmony voices based on a selected key center and the sung note, and can pitch-shift a voice to MIDI notes. That makes it a fit for solo musicians who want real-time vocal harmonies in an iOS workflow, whether they work in the app itself or inside a compatible music host.

Its strongest distinction is control over harmony rather than automatic detection. Users can choose major, minor, or dominant key centers, edit and reorder presets, save harmony settings, and use inversions. MIDI input can set key centers or drive manual harmony voices, while autotune can be constrained by chord, scale, or chromatic settings. An on-screen piano keyboard and MIDI program-change support add further control. The tradeoff is that key and scale detection are not included, so singers need to choose the musical center themselves; there are also no humanization controls.
