Our verdict on Haiper
Haiper is an AI video-generation product for creators, businesses, and developers who need short clips from text or images. Its web application supports text-to-video generation and image-to-video animation, while iOS access and an HTTP API extend the product beyond the browser. The workflow also includes video-to-video repainting, keyframe conditioning, video extension, and enhancement. Users can configure seeds, aspect ratios, and durations, and can set creations to public or private. The published category details also identify commercial use for member-generated videos.
Pricing requires attention because Haiper uses a freemium model, while the official pricing page opened for this research lists credit costs rather than recurring membership plan prices. The product documents free video generation and paid membership, but buyers should evaluate the credit-based structure against their expected generation volume. Commercial-use rights are explicitly stated for videos generated by members, making membership status an important consideration for business workflows. The HTTP API is relevant for programmatic generation, and the ComfyUI custom node provides a documented fit for users already working in that environment.
Haiper’s strongest distinction is the range of generation and editing paths around short-form output. Keyframes, repainting, extension, enhancement to 1080p, configurable seeds, and aspect-ratio controls give developers and creators several ways to shape a result rather than relying only on a text prompt. The trade-off is the documented maximum of about four seconds, which limits its fit for longer scenes or extended narrative sequences. Choose Haiper for developer-friendly experiments, short visual assets, and workflows that benefit from API or ComfyUI access. Consider an alternative when longer clips or a broader documented integration ecosystem matter more than these focused controls.
