Our verdict on Hackworks Platform
Hackworks Platform gives organizers tools to run hackathons, innovation challenges, sprints and workshops online, in person or in hybrid formats. It is suited to teams that need a branded event page alongside registration, participant collaboration and a judging workflow. Participants can create profiles with skills and interests, while organizers can gather registration surveys and document uploads, set team formation to organic, assigned or hybrid, and communicate by email or chat.
Its event workflow spans configurable submissions and evaluation criteria, judge profiles and assignments, a judging portal, scoring, analytics and downloadable participant, submission and judging data. Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Webex integrations support events using those meeting platforms. For organizers focused on a complete challenge process, these tools make the platform a closer fit than a product limited to event registration. It is cloud-based and available on the web.
According to the published plans, Free costs $0 per event and supports up to 50 registrants per challenge, with event page design, automated email and chat, team formation, and custom submission requirements and judging criteria. Professional costs $1,900 per event, raises the limit to 500 registrants, and adds a custom application process, waitlist and event listing on the Hackworks Innovation Challenge Platform. Enterprise offers a custom domain, multilingual content, a white-labeled platform, SSO, email whitelisting and verification, with customization upon request. Choose Hackworks if branded collaboration and judging are central to the event; organizers who need more than 50 registrants should account for the Professional per-event price, while those requiring Enterprise options should expect custom arrangements.
