Our verdict on Gridly
Gridly is a cloud-based localization platform for teams managing multilingual digital content. It brings content management, translation project management, and computer-assisted translation into one workspace. Teams can organize localized content in multilingual grids, assign translation tasks, manage workflows, reuse approved translations, maintain terminology, and connect external systems through integrations, connectors, plugins, and a REST API. Its positioning fits game teams and content teams that need structured localization across digital products, documents, and websites.
The published plans separate the platform into TMS, CMS, and CAT offerings. Basic TMS costs €50 per month and includes task management, workflows, progress tracking, analysis, and document translation. Basic CMS costs €99 per month with grids, automations, dependencies, and views. Basic CAT costs €140 per month and adds a CAT editor, contextual information, working translation memory, AI suggestions, and concordance search. Team TMS, Team CMS, and Team CAT cost €125, €249, and €280 per month respectively, with added capabilities such as branches in Team CMS. A 14-day trial is available, but there is no free plan.
Gridly’s ecosystem covers content, game development, productivity, and translation tools. Listed integrations include Google Sheets, OpenAI, DeepL, Unity, WPML, Unreal Engine, memoQ, Discord, Figma, Slack, JIRA, XTM, and others. The platform also supports exact, fuzzy, and contextual translation-memory matching; CSV and TBX glossary imports; machine translation; automated quality assurance; file import and export; and WordPress localization through WPML synchronization. Choose Gridly when multilingual content operations, translation workflows, CAT features, and system connectivity need to work together. Teams seeking a free plan or a simpler, single-purpose translation tool should consider alternatives.
