Our verdict on Great Scores
Great Scores is a digital sheet music store for players looking for arrangements across piano, keyboard, voice and other instruments and ensembles. Its catalog combines Great Scores arrangements with scores from publishers, with browsing organized by title, genre, instrument and ability level. A selection of scores is free, while other scores are purchased individually, making it a fit for musicians who want to explore before buying rather than subscribe to a recurring plan.
Preview tools are central to the buying flow: players can view score excerpts and play them back before purchase. Transposition is available where supported, which can help players assess whether a score suits their needs. Purchased scores can be downloaded as PDFs and printed at home, and the site offers order history after login. Offline access comes through those downloaded PDFs; the available platform is the web, supported on PC and Apple Mac computers in modern browsers. There is no verified dedicated score-reader app, so players seeking an app-based reading setup may prefer another service.
The purchase model means costs vary by score, and the site may show prices in a selected currency; there is no recurring paid plan described. Email is the listed support channel. Great Scores is best suited to solo players and small-scale music buyers who value free selections, preview playback and printable scores. It is less suitable for someone who wants a subscription catalog, dedicated app, or transposition across every score. Players who are comfortable choosing and buying individual arrangements should find its store-first approach the more relevant fit.
