Google Cloud Bare Metal Solution provides dedicated, sole-tenant bare-metal servers in regional extensions connected to Google Cloud through managed Partner Interconnect. It is designed for specialized workloads that require direct server access, third-party virtualization, or enterprise database deployments such as Oracle and SAP. Google Cloud manages the core infrastructure, physical and network security, hardware monitoring, server provisioning, and connectivity, while customers manage their operating systems, applications, data, databases, and backups.

Pricing is subscription-based and requires a signed order form or contact with Google Cloud Sales. The service offers preconfigured general-purpose, high-memory, and memory-optimized server sizes, with HDD, SSD, and Performance SSD storage options. Its ecosystem fit is a central strength: integrations include Google Cloud VPC, Partner Interconnect, Google Cloud IAM, and Google Cloud APIs. Multiple VLANs, advanced networking configurations, custom images, supported Linux operating systems, Google Cloud billing, and management tools support deployments that need to remain closely connected to the Google Cloud environment.

The standout capability is the combination of sole-tenant hardware and direct Google Cloud connectivity, with interactive serial console access for server administration. The managed infrastructure model reduces responsibility for physical operations and network connectivity, but it does not remove operational ownership of the guest environment or backups. Organizations already invested in Google Cloud and running specialized databases, virtualization, or other workloads that need dedicated servers should consider it. Teams seeking simple self-service hosting, bundled backups, or straightforward published pricing should choose a different option.
