GoCodes is a cloud-based asset tracking platform for construction, trades, industrial, healthcare, education, and facilities teams. It combines QR code and barcode scanning with browser access, native iOS and Android apps, asset check-in and check-out, custody history, GPS location capture, maintenance scheduling, inventory alerts, reports, and dashboards. Optional GPS, Bluetooth, RFID, and NFC hardware extends tracking beyond standard scans. Teams managing tools, equipment, fleet assets, or distributed inventory will find its feature set aligned with operational tracking rather than simple record keeping.
According to the vendor’s pricing page, GoCodes offers a 15-day trial with no credit card required, but no free plan. Standard costs $500 per year and covers 200 assets, with self-printed labels, GPS tracking, the inventory module, and email support. Premium costs $1,000 per year and adds 500 custom QR tags, business-hours phone support, and onboarding assistance. Premium Elite costs $1,750 per year and adds 1,000 custom QR tags, file attachments, and document storage. Professional costs $2,500 per year and adds 2,000 custom QR tags, kitting, and work offline mode. Enterprise adds unlimited assets and users, API access, SSO integration, access controls, and priority phone support.
The clearest differentiator is the combination of mobile scanning, GPS history, custody workflows, and offline asset updates with automatic synchronization. That makes GoCodes a strong fit for teams that update records away from reliable connectivity and need location context alongside inventory status. The platform also supports a REST/JSON API and separate web, iOS, and Android access, giving larger deployments more ways to connect tracking activity with existing workflows. It is less suitable for teams seeking a free plan, a lower annual starting price, or broad access to advanced capabilities without moving to a higher tier.
GoCodes pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Offline updates synchronize automatically across mobile apps
- QR, barcode, GPS, custody, maintenance, and inventory tracking
- Reports, dashboards, and REST/JSON API support broader workflows
- Where it doesn't
- The $500 annual starting plan covers only 200 assets
- No free plan; advanced capabilities require higher tiers
- Enterprise features such as SSO and unlimited assets have no listed price
