Glot is a browser-based service for real-time speech translation and live captioning at conferences, meetings, training sessions, universities, tours, and corporate events. It is aimed at organizers who want attendees to follow multilingual sessions on their own phones, or through captions projected in the room, without app downloads or dedicated headsets. The listed participant limit is 100, making it a better fit for small events than gatherings that need a larger audience. It also provides session summaries, with speaker diarization included on the voice plan.
The two paid plans are priced per room per day. Glot Captions costs €235 and includes AI live captions and translation in 60+ languages, room-screen captions, instant access without a download, and a session summary. Glot Voice costs €590 per room per day and includes the Captions features, plus natural voice in attendees’ languages, original sound, and speaker diarization. There is no free plan. The higher tier is relevant when spoken translated output matters; caption-focused events can use the lower-priced option. The published day rates are a substantial commitment for organizers with limited budgets or short sessions.
Glot’s access model suits events where attendees bring their own devices: they scan a QR code and receive captions or translated speech in a browser, without creating an account. Captions can appear both on participant smartphones and on room screens, and parallel multi-room support helps serve events running simultaneous sessions. Subtitle export in SRT and VTT formats is available on request. Glot is a reasonable choice for smaller multilingual events that value quick attendee access and a choice of text or voice output. Organizers who need to serve more than 100 participants, or who do not need translation features enough to justify a paid per-room daily plan, should look elsewhere.
