Global Site Management is NORLINX Systems LLC’s data center infrastructure management suite for IT and facilities teams. It brings together rack elevation, cabinet capacity planning, power monitoring, PUE reporting, environmental alerts, asset tracking, floor and cabinet visualization, cable mapping, work orders and reporting. Its scope suits organizations managing one or more data centers, from smaller facilities and pilot programs to enterprise environments that need synchronized multi-site databases.
The four-tier structure maps capabilities to operational maturity. GSMpowerlite is the no-cost entry edition, with hardware discovery, power gear firmware and configuration management, and basic power and environmental alerting. GSMessential adds rack elevation and capacity management, device failure and impact reporting, plus real-time floor plans, cabinet elevations and capacity reporting. GSMprofessional adds custom formulas, role-based dashboards, and RFID and barcode asset tracking. GSMenterprise extends the suite with Android and iOS mobile support, DCIM University training, custom development and integrations. The published pricing model is per rack, with paid-tier pricing available by call or email, and a 30-day free trial is offered.
Global Site Management’s main strength is breadth across infrastructure domains and connection points. It can work with SNMP, JSON, BACnet, Modbus, PDUs, environmental sensors, servers, switches, patch panels, routers, storage devices, CRAC units, UPS systems and generators. Microsoft Visio supports floor and cabinet visualization, while RFID, QR-code and barcode tracking support physical asset workflows. The suite is available on web, Windows, iOS and Android, but its deployment category is on-premises. Choose it for multi-site teams wanting a wide DCIM feature set with a free starting point; consider another option if cloud-native deployment is a primary requirement.
