GLO-BUS is an online business strategy simulation for business-school courses and company training programs. Student teams operate competing wearable-camera and camera-equipped drone companies across four geographic markets, making decisions across research and development, production, compensation, outsourcing, pricing, marketing, finance, operations, and corporate responsibility. It suits instructors who want students to connect cross-functional decisions with competitive outcomes, and teams of one to five students can compete in an industry of up to 12 companies.
The simulation’s main strength is the breadth of its decision environment. Teams compete head to head and receive performance scoreboards, competitive reports, business-performance reports, and Learning Assurance and performance benchmark reports. Built-in voice chat and shared-screen collaboration support team work, while online quizzes, peer evaluations, strategic-plan assignments, and an integrated automated gradebook give instructors assessment tools within the same product. Windows and Mac compatibility sits alongside web access, making it suitable for courses that combine browser-based work with desktop support.
The plans divide the product into a simulation-focused option and a broader teaching package. Simulation-Only includes the full simulation, instructor access to materials, collaboration tools, quizzes, peer evaluations, and grading reports.
