Contact-center virtual agents with workflow execution and human escalation, sold through Genesys Cloud CX.

Genesys Cloud AI Virtual Agent adds conversational automation to the Genesys Cloud CX contact-center platform. It is aimed at customer service teams handling inquiries across voice, chat and messaging, especially organizations already using Genesys Cloud CX. The capability can identify intent, complete tasks across connected systems, and hand an interaction to a human agent with its conversation context. It also supports proactive outbound reminders, appointment confirmations and follow-ups, so its scope extends beyond answering inbound questions.
Pricing is tied to Genesys Cloud CX plans, with annual billing shown for all four listed tiers. CX 1 starts at $75 per user per month and includes voice, call routing, speech-enabled IVR, virtual agents and a native voicebot. CX 2 is $115 and adds digital channels and omnichannel routing; CX 3 is $155 and includes workforce management; CX 4 is $240 and lists Agent Copilot and 30 AI Experience tokens per named agent. The pricing notes say usage-based pricing may apply and AI Experience tokens are required for certain features. Buyers should therefore weigh the plan price alongside expected usage and token needs.
The product's fit is strongest where bot conversations need to connect with contact-center workflows: a visual drag-and-drop flow builder, multi-step execution with guardrails, conversation summaries and wrap-up codes support that broader operation. Integrations include Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, Zendesk, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Amazon Lex and Google CCAI, with web and API platforms listed. Teams seeking a narrowly scoped voice-agent service independent of Genesys Cloud CX may prefer another option; organizations standardizing on Genesys can consider it for both self-service and contextual handoff. The CX tier choice matters, particularly when digital channels or workforce management are needed.
