Gemini Text-to-Speech is Google's API capability for converting text into single-speaker or multi-speaker audio. The service is available through the web and Gemini API, with output formats including WAV and PCM. Its broad language coverage, prebuilt voices, and natural-language controls make it suitable for teams that want expressive multilingual TTS without committing to a large fixed subscription.
Pricing is usage-based per 1 million input tokens, with a starting price of $0.25 per 1 million input tokens and a free plan. The published plans include Gemini 3.1 Flash TTS Preview Standard and Batch, Gemini 2.5 Flash Preview TTS Standard and Batch, and Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview TTS Standard and Batch. Standard plans can include a free tier, while Batch plans do not. Audio output is priced separately from text input, so buyers should account for both sides of usage when estimating costs.
