Gemini Notebook is Google's AI research and note-taking product for students, researchers, and knowledge workers who want to organize material and ask questions across a notebook. It supports source-grounded chat with citations, automatic summaries, and generated outputs including audio and video overviews, reports, slide decks, infographics, flashcards, quizzes, and mind maps. The free plan includes source-grounded chat, Audio Overviews, up to 50 sources per notebook, and up to 100 notebooks.

Its strongest fit is the Google ecosystem. Gemini Notebook connects with Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, YouTube, Google Play Books, and Gemini. Web and Google Drive discovery can help users bring material into a notebook, while public notebook sharing and collaboration support distribution. Notebook access through Gemini apps adds cross-app syncing. Imports include PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, images, audio, web URLs, ePub, and YouTube URLs, giving research and study workflows broad coverage.

The paid plans primarily add access and Google services. Google AI Plus includes Gemini Notebook with more access and 2 TB storage; Google AI Pro includes expanded access and 5 TB storage; Google AI Ultra includes higher Gemini Notebook access and 20 TB storage. All three include Google AI benefits. Gemini Notebook is available on web, iOS, and Android, although mobile availability and feature coverage may vary by country and device. Choose it for citation-oriented research, learning workflows, and Google-based collaboration. Consider another tool if desktop-native coverage beyond web and mobile is essential or if broader access limits are a priority without a Google AI plan.
