FusionReactor review
Continuous JVM and ColdFusion profiling with production debugging, alerts, and observability.

FusionReactor is an application performance monitoring and continuous profiling product for developers, DevOps teams, support engineers, and system administrators responsible for Java and ColdFusion application performance. It monitors JVM requests and transactions, database queries, memory and heap behavior, threads, CPU activity, and application anomalies. Deployment can be on-premise with an agent or through a cloud observability platform, with web, Linux, Windows, macOS, self-hosted, and API availability.
The published monthly plans cover different environments and observability requirements. The Developer License is listed at $22 per month for development and test environments, with debugging and performance profiling. FusionReactor APM is listed at $79 per seat per month for Java and ColdFusion monitoring on one host with up to 4 application instances or Docker containers. Starter Cloud is $49 per month with 10K metrics, 25GB logs, 25GB traces, and 500 OpsPilot tokens. Pro AI Cloud is $249 per month with 20K metrics, 100GB logs / traces, and 5,000 OpsPilot tokens. Advanced AI Cloud is $899 per month with 50K metrics, 250GB logs / traces, and 20,000 OpsPilot tokens. A 14-day free trial is available.
Its strongest distinction is the depth of runtime diagnostics: continuous code profiling, memory profiling, heap snapshots, thread profiling, CPU sampling, garbage-collection profiling, source maps, and interactive production debugging sit alongside transaction, database, logs, traces, metrics, dashboards, anomaly detection, and continuous alerts. OpenTelemetry, Slack, and webhooks support ecosystem connections. FusionReactor should suit teams that need detailed JVM or ColdFusion production investigation and flexible deployment. Teams seeking a narrower language focus or a free profiling product should consider alternatives.
FusionReactor pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Continuous code, memory, thread, CPU, and heap profiling
- Production debugging with alerts, dashboards, logs, traces, and metrics
- Hybrid deployment across web, self-hosted, Linux, Windows, and macOS
- Where it doesn't
- Deepest fit is Java and ColdFusion rather than every supported language
- No free plan; paid plans start at a published monthly price
- Cloud tiers vary substantially in metrics, logs, traces, and AI allowances
