Fulguris is an open-source web browser for Android phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and Android desktop modes. It is aimed at users who want more control over tabs, sessions, bookmarks, appearance, search, and privacy than a minimal mobile browser provides. The browser supports named browsing sessions, vertical or horizontal tab layouts, folders for bookmarks, history, incognito browsing, multiple search engines, search suggestions, reader mode, keyboard support, and accessibility features. It is available under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, with builds distributed through Google Play, direct downloads, and F-Droid.

Fulguris has a free plan and uses a freemium model. Its platform focus is Android, including Android environments on Chromebooks and desktop modes rather than separate native desktop applications. That makes the product a focused choice for Android users, but less suitable for households or teams that expect the same browser experience across mobile and desktop operating systems. The browser also lacks cross-device sync, so sessions, tabs, and bookmarks are managed within its Android-centered workflow rather than across a broader device ecosystem.

Its strongest distinction is breadth within a single mobile browser. Fulguris combines tab and session management with hosts-file and Adblock Plus syntax support, custom userscripts from Greasy Fork, configurable rendering modes, themes, dark mode, reader mode, and accessibility options. Orbot Proxy and I2P support extend its privacy-oriented feature set, although those routing options depend on the relevant integrations. Choose Fulguris if Android customization, local control, ad blocking, and privacy tools matter more than broad platform coverage. Choose another browser if cross-device continuity or a simpler default setup is the priority.

  • Where it doesn't
    • Android-focused platform coverage limits use across device ecosystems
