Frappe Learning is an open-source learning management system for educators, businesses, and content creators. It supports structured courses with chapters and lessons, videos, PDFs, quizzes, assignments, SCORM packages, learner batches, live sessions, certifications, progress tracking, and paid courses. Organizations can self-host it or choose managed hosting through Frappe Cloud. The platform states that courses, students, and admins are unlimited across its plans, with no per-learner charge.

Pricing is split between self-hosting and three managed options. The Self-host plan is free, licensed under AGPL-3.0, and intended for deployment on your own server. Sites costs $5 per month for one site on shared servers, with managed upgrades and backups. Servers costs $20 per month and provides a virtual machine for multiple sites and benches, with shared or dedicated instances and limited uptime guarantees. Servers (advanced) costs $60 per month and adds dedicated server isolation, server snapshots, autoscaling, and global data centre locations. The displayed managed-hosting prices are charged per site or server rather than per learner.

Its feature breadth suits teams that need more than course delivery: SCORM progress tracking, quizzes, assignments, certificates, badges, batch management, analytics, a learner job board, and payment gateway integration are included in the product scope. Integrations include Zoom, Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal, PayTM, Braintree, Mpesa, and GoCardless. Frappe Learning is a good fit for organizations comfortable with open-source deployment or choosing a hosting tier around their operational needs. Teams that want a single-site managed setup can start with Sites, while multi-site or more isolated deployments should consider the server plans.
