Our verdict on Foxy

Foxy is a hosted cart and checkout platform for merchants, developers, SaaS companies, and agencies adding commerce to an existing website or application. It supports physical and digital products, services, donations, bookings, memberships, tickets, and recurring subscriptions with configurable billing frequencies. Checkout can be embedded into a broader web presence while the merchant keeps the website and product catalog in a chosen CMS or application. Foxy is available on the web and through an API, with custom checkout templates and custom domains for teams that need more control over the customer-facing experience.

Pricing scales by plan and capacity. According to the published plans, Starter costs $30 per month billed annually and includes hosted cart and checkout, unlimited products and subscriptions, 100 transactions per month, basic template customization, and email support. Growth costs $65 per month billed annually and adds multi-currency, a custom tax endpoint, and advanced template customization. Advanced costs $300 per month billed annually and adds SAML SSO. Enterprise costs $2250 per month billed annually and adds custom integrations plus SLA and high-volume processing options. The vendor also describes an unlimited free trial, but the product is not presented as a permanent free plan.

Foxy’s main strength is breadth: payment integrations include Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, Square, Authorize.net, and iDEAL, while Zapier, Make, Pipedream, Webflow, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Salesforce, and QuickBooks extend its ecosystem fit. Automatic and manual tax calculation, local payment methods through integrations, customer portals, webhooks, and the Hypermedia API support more involved commerce workflows. Merchants wanting a hosted checkout layer alongside an existing site or application should find the structure fitting; businesses seeking a merchant-of-record service or an all-in-one website and catalog system should choose another type of platform.
