FortiSIEM review
A broad IT/OT SIEM with multivendor collection, analytics, case management, and SOAR.

FortiSIEM is Fortinet’s security information and event management platform for enterprises, managed security service providers, and organizations operating both IT and operational technology environments. It brings together event collection and correlation, threat detection, investigation, and response, with an IT/OT configuration management database for asset discovery. Its breadth makes it a fit for teams that need security operations spanning multivendor environments, rather than buyers looking only for a narrow alerting tool.
Collection covers multivendor IT/OT sources, with integrations including generic APIs, inbound webhooks, Fortinet products, hundreds of third-party IT/OT solutions, FortiSOAR connectors, and Osquery. Detection combines UEBA and machine-learning threat detection with custom and customizable rules, real-time analytics, and risk scoring. Endpoint visibility through agents and Osquery complements the asset discovery capabilities. For teams managing response workflows, incident investigation and case management sit alongside response actions and built-in SOAR automation and playbooks. Compliance reporting is also included, while multitenancy and distributed processing speak to service providers and distributed operations.
FortiSIEM is available as Fortinet-managed SaaS, virtual-machine software, cloud deployments, and hardware appliances, with web, API, and self-hosted platform options. That deployment range suits organizations with varied infrastructure, but buyers should assess which model and integrations fit their operating environment. According to Fortinet’s pricing information, sales contact is required rather than choosing from a published price list, so organizations comparing SIEM costs will need a sales conversation. FortiSIEM is a stronger fit for hybrid IT/OT teams that value broad collection, investigation, and automation in one system; teams seeking a simpler, narrowly scoped SIEM may prefer to evaluate alternatives with a tighter focus.
