Our verdict on FOREVER
FOREVER is a cloud-based memory-preservation platform for individuals, families, and organizations. It stores photos, videos, audio, and documents across web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Its focus is long-term bundled storage, with mobile backup, automatic uploads, original-resolution preservation, album organization, sharing, and downloads through the Valet desktop application. The free plan provides a 2GB account, while the FOREVER Guarantee does not apply to that free storage.
Pricing is built around one-time storage investments rather than an ongoing pay-as-you-go model. The 10GB plan costs $179.99, 25GB costs $349.99, 50GB costs $529.99, 100GB costs $899.99, 150GB costs $1,299.99, 250GB costs $1,999.99, 500GB costs $3,499.99, and 1TB costs $5,999.99. Each paid plan lists permanent cloud storage. The storage page also presents a 24-month payment option. This structure suits buyers prioritizing long-term ownership of a defined storage bundle, but the entry price is substantial for 10GB.
The feature set extends beyond backup. Users can organize collections with albums, tags, and people, identify faces with facial recognition, and share albums privately, publicly, with connections, or with groups. Valet supports bulk upload and download, external-drive transfer, and Google Files upload. Video features include trimming, merging, streaming, and title-cover creation. FOREVER is a strong fit for families and archivists who want a permanent destination for original files and shared memories. Buyers seeking lower initial storage costs, flexible capacity, or RAW photo support should consider alternatives.
