ForecastX is an Excel-based forecasting product for supply chain, demand-planning, and business-forecasting teams. Delivered as a Microsoft Excel plugin for Windows, it combines automatic best-fit forecasting through ProCast with statistical, regression, seasonal, event, and new-product techniques. Its broader planning scope includes batch and group forecasting, hierarchical adjustments, promotional modeling, inventory and safety-stock planning, replenishment, ABC analysis, collaborative input, reporting, and ERP integration.

Pricing is split between a lower-cost Lite plan and the full ForecastX plan. ForecastX Lite costs $59 per month and includes ProCast expert selection, batch forecasting, 25+ statistical methods, 50+ statistical measures, and event modeling. The ForecastX plan costs $99 per month and adds multi-level hierarchy management, on-the-fly recalculations, ABC analysis, consensus planning, new-product forecasting, and advanced reporting. New customers can also purchase software and installation for $500 per user as a one-time charge, or choose an annual subscription at $1,188 per user per year.

The product fits organizations that already work in Excel and need demand forecasting connected to inventory and replenishment decisions rather than a narrowly focused forecasting calculator. Microsoft Excel and ERP-system integration support a familiar planning workflow, while collaborative adjustments and consensus planning extend its use across planning teams. The trade-off is platform scope: ForecastX is Windows-only, so teams seeking browser-based or cross-platform deployment should look elsewhere. ForecastX is a strong fit for budget-conscious Windows users who want broad forecasting and supply-chain planning features inside Excel; teams prioritizing broader platform access should consider alternatives.

ForecastX pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Automatic, batch, hierarchical, event, and new-product forecasting
    • Inventory, safety-stock, replenishment, and ABC planning
    • Excel delivery with ERP integration and collaborative adjustments
  • Where it doesn't
    • Windows-only deployment narrows platform flexibility
    • No free plan; paid access starts at $59 per month
    • ERP integration is described broadly rather than by named connectors
