FolderSync review
A flexible synchronizer for scheduled WebDAV, cloud, and local folder transfers.

FolderSync is a file synchronization client for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android. It connects local folders with WebDAV servers, cloud storage providers, and remote folders, and can also synchronize between remote locations through the device as an intermediary. Its audience includes individuals and small or mid-market teams that need scheduled folder transfers rather than a mounted WebDAV drive.
The product’s strongest area is synchronization control. Jobs can run one way or two ways, with interval, day, time, and cron scheduling. Network-condition rules can restrict activity by Wi-Fi, mobile data, or roaming status. One-way synchronizations can use encryption, while filters and the included file manager support more controlled handling of local and remote files. FolderSync Desktop also provides command-line control for users who need automation outside the graphical interface.
FolderSync has a free Android app with advertising and a desktop app available without paid licensing for limited features. FolderSync Pro is a paid Android app that removes advertising and adds automation and webhooks. The product supports WebDAV over HTTPS and connects with services including Amazon S3, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, ownCloud, pCloud, and others. Choose FolderSync when scheduled, rule-based synchronization across local, remote, and cloud folders is the priority. Choose another type of tool if drive mounting is essential or if the free desktop feature set does not cover the required workflow.
