FolderSizes is a Windows disk space analyzer for individuals, consultants, businesses, and IT administrators. It scans local drives, folders, network paths, mapped and UNC locations, and external drives, then reports folder and file sizes through treemap, sunburst, bar, and pie visualizations. File reports can focus on large, old, new, temporary, duplicate, and other file classes, while file-type and file-category breakdowns help explain how storage is allocated.

The published plans use a freemium model. The time-unlimited Free edition includes folder and file size reports, multiple visualizations, and advanced search and scan filtering. The Personal Edition costs $30 USD as a one-time purchase and provides a perpetual license for personal and home network use. The Single-User Pro plan costs $60 USD one time, with a perpetual license, advanced features, and support coverage. Paid Pro capabilities include report exports, scheduling, trend analysis, snapshots, report comparison, and command-line support. Exports include HTML, XML, Excel, PDF, CSV, and text, with email delivery available for scheduled reports.

FolderSizes suits buyers who need more than a basic visual scan, particularly those managing recurring storage reviews across local, network, and removable drives. Its search criteria cover size, date, name, attributes, owner, and document properties, and its file operations include moving, copying, deleting, and ZIP archiving. The product is less suitable for teams that require a non-Windows option or a dedicated installed-application size view. Choose it for Windows-focused reporting and historical analysis; consider another tool when those specific needs are central.
