Our verdict on FlashPrep
FlashPrep is a web-based study tool for learners who want to turn text or PDFs into flashcards and review them with SM-2 spaced repetition. It also supports manual card creation and shared decks, which users can clone. Daily Runs combine due reviews, weak spots, and new material, while recovery practice revisits ideas missed during a run. Learning Strength tracking gives learners a way to follow progress. Its focus is individual study rather than a broad learning or classroom platform.
The Free plan costs $0 per month and includes SM-2 spaced repetition, unlimited study sessions, and basic support. Its AI generations, PDF uploads, and Anki exports are limited. Pro Monthly costs $4.99 per month and adds unlimited AI generations, PDF uploads, and Anki exports, along with unlimited study sessions and priority support. Pro Annual costs $29 per year and includes everything in Pro Monthly. The $49 Lifetime plan includes everything in Pro with no recurring charges. The paid choices suit learners who regularly generate cards from source material or export decks; occasional users can begin with the free plan.
FlashPrep runs on the web and exports decks in Anki and CSV formats; Anki is its listed integration. That makes it a fit for learners who want a browser-based workflow and the option to move cards into Anki or a spreadsheet-friendly format. It is less suitable for someone who needs a non-web platform or a choice of review algorithms, since the platform is web-only and the algorithm is fixed to SM-2. Choose FlashPrep for focused recall practice and flexible card creation, but consider another tool if those constraints conflict with your study setup.
