Fishbowl Advanced is manufacturing and warehouse management software for small and midsize businesses that build, assemble, or distribute physical products. Its manufacturing capabilities cover bills of materials, subassemblies, configurable builds, work orders, material resource planning, production scheduling, inventory, and labor, material, and landed-cost tracking. It is a fit for manufacturers that want production and accounting workflows connected, particularly those already working with QuickBooks.
The manufacturing plan, Advanced Manufacturing, starts at $675 per month and includes full BOMs, subassemblies, configurations, MRP, production scheduling, job and labor costing, landed costing, work orders, made-to-order builds, lot and batch traceability, and QuickBooks integrations. Advanced Warehouse starts at $595 per month and focuses on multi-warehouse and 3PL workflows, EDI integrations, permissions, audit trails, tiered pricing rules, and mobile barcode scanning. Pricing is based on users and deployment configuration, so the starting price is not the complete pricing picture for every implementation.
Fishbowl Advanced stands out when BOM management needs to sit alongside inventory control and production execution rather than operate as a separate engineering tool. Revision tracking, lot and batch traceability, and accounting integrations support operational continuity across the shop floor and warehouse. The platform offers cloud hosting and self-managed deployment options through web and API access, with integrations for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Enterprise, and Xero. Choose it if your priority is a broad manufacturing and inventory system with strong QuickBooks alignment. Look elsewhere if dedicated change workflows are central to your process or if the starting monthly cost does not fit your budget.
