Finmatics is cloud-based accounting automation software for accounting firms, bookkeeping teams, tax advisers and SMEs in Germany and Austria. It combines incoming document capture, accounting data extraction, AI-generated booking suggestions and invoice approval workflows. Approval activity can include comments, rejection reasons, delegated or proxy arrangements, and a chronological audit trail. Web, iOS, Android and API access make it suitable for teams that need approval beyond the office.

Pricing is structured around four plans. Basis Fin costs €750 per month with annual billing in advance and includes accounting workflow for firms and clients plus 3,000 booking lines per month. Plus Fin costs €900 per month and adds the Training Center, Analytics Center and intelligent document checks. Pro Fin adds split bookings, industry-specific charts of accounts, and advance and final invoice processing. Enterprise adds configurable one-step approvals, multi-step approvals and SSO. A 30-day free trial is available, while monthly payment carries a 20% surcharge. This makes Finmatics a substantial commitment for smaller teams, particularly when they need only basic invoice approval.

Its main strength is breadth across accounting automation and approval control rather than approval alone. Finmatics connects with DATEV, BMD, RZL, Agenda, SAP, Microsoft Business Central and a REST API, giving firms several routes into existing accounting or ERP environments. The combination of channel capture, booking suggestions, mobile approval, delegation and audit logging fits established firms with distributed reviewers and formal process requirements. Choose Finmatics when accounting workflow depth, mobile delegation and system connectivity justify the subscription. Smaller businesses seeking a lower-cost approval-only tool, or teams that do not need accounting automation, should look elsewhere.
