fibranode Private Cloud provides managed Proxmox VE clusters on dedicated hardware operated from fibranode data centres. It combines KVM and LXC virtualization with high-availability clusters, Ceph storage, software-defined networking, Proxmox Backup Server, a self-service GUI and REST API access. The service is aimed at regulated and compute-intensive workloads that need dedicated resources, data isolation and managed infrastructure operations rather than an unmanaged virtualization environment.

Automation and platform fit are central strengths. Terraform and Ansible integrations support infrastructure workflows, while the REST API and self-service GUI provide two management paths. Networking includes VLANs, SDN zones and firewalls, and the platform supports live migration, HA and replication. Ceph uses triple replication, giving the storage layer a defined replication model within the private-cloud design. These capabilities make the service a strong fit for teams standardizing on Proxmox while still connecting cluster operations to existing automation practices.

The managed operating model covers patching, upgrades, capacity planning and 24/7 monitoring, reducing the operational scope customers need to handle themselves. Proxmox Backup Server adds encrypted, deduplicated backups, with retention selectable to the customer’s requirements. The trade-off is a more structured, dedicated setup: high availability begins with three hypervisor nodes, and pricing is handled through a vendor quote rather than published plans. Choose fibranode Private Cloud when managed Proxmox infrastructure, automation integrations and dedicated capacity matter most; smaller workloads or teams seeking a simpler, self-directed setup may prefer a less involved model.

fibranode Private Cloud pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • High availability with Ceph triple replication and live migration
    • Encrypted, deduplicated backups with selectable retention
    • Terraform and Ansible integrations plus REST API access
  • Where it doesn't
    • Pricing and configuration require a tailored vendor quote
    • High availability starts at three hypervisor nodes
    • Dedicated infrastructure may be more than smaller workloads need
