Fathom is cloud-based financial reporting, analysis, forecasting and consolidation software for small and medium-sized businesses, business advisors, CFOs, franchises and groups. Its core use case is accounting-led planning across one or more companies: the platform connects with accounting systems and spreadsheet sources, then supports three-way forecasts across profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow. It also covers scenario planning, KPI tracking, management reporting, benchmarking and consolidated forecasting, making it suited to teams that need a shared view of financial performance across entities.
The forecasting toolkit is broader than a basic budgeting workspace. Driver-based forecasting, rolling forecasts that update with financial data, and variance analysis against budgets, targets and prior periods help teams compare plans with performance. Business Roadmap and microforecasts add more planning depth, while custom management reports can be scheduled for delivery. Financial and non-financial KPIs, audit trails for forecast figures, and multi-entity consolidation are particularly relevant to finance teams that need traceable reporting rather than isolated spreadsheet models.
