faktur.lu is cloud invoicing software from Luxembourg vendor Foorinto, aimed at freelancers and small businesses that need local VAT handling and compliant invoice records. It creates quotes and invoices, converts quotes into invoices, supports recurring billing and multiple currencies, and tracks expenses, deductible VAT, projects and time. Client profiles and invoice history keep billing records together, while read-only accountant access offers a way to share them with an accountant.
The free plan is a practical entry point, with 5 invoices and 5 quotes per month, up to 10 clients, FAIA export and custom invoice numbering. Essentiel costs €5 per month and raises the limits to 50 invoices and 100 clients; it also adds projects and time tracking, an accountant portal, accounting exports and Peppol B2G export. Pro costs €15 per month and adds unlimited clients, invoices and quotes sent by PDF and email, along with HR and CRM modules, FAIA and Factur-X exports, automatic payment reminders, multi-user access and priority support. The 14-day Pro trial does not require a credit card.
Its strongest fit is a Luxembourg-based solo operator or small company that values local VAT calculation, FAIA files and a straightforward path to Peppol and accounting exports. Sage BOB 50, Sage 100, CSV and Peppol are listed integrations or formats, and the service is web-based with GDPR and two-factor authentication listed. The free tier's monthly invoice and client limits make it less suitable for higher-volume billing; those users would need to move up to a paid plan. Pro is also the only plan with automated payment reminders and multi-user access. Consider another option if a desktop app, broader support channels or a customer-facing portal is central to the workflow.
