Our verdict on EZVIZ
EZVIZ brings camera management and home monitoring to iOS and Android. The app lets users view live video, receive motion alerts, and access recordings from connected EZVIZ cameras. Its fit is clearest for owners who want a mobile way to check feeds and choose between supported local microSD recording and optional CloudPlay history. Recording features, including 4K, depend on the camera model; compatible cameras can also link with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
CloudPlay offers event-based history with unlimited cloud storage, and its plan structure distinguishes camera count and retention. Individual plans cost $3.99 per camera monthly or $39.99 per camera yearly for 7-day history; 30-day history costs $6.99 monthly or $69.99 yearly per camera. Home plans cover households at $8.99 monthly or $89.99 yearly for 7-day history, and $15.99 monthly or $159.99 yearly for 30-day history. The app itself can be used for free, while CloudPlay includes a 30-day trial; cloud pricing and availability vary by region.
The choice between local storage and cloud history is a meaningful point of flexibility: supported cameras can save to microSD, and the mobile app can download supported recordings. That makes EZVIZ suitable for owners who want app-based monitoring without requiring a cloud subscription, as well as those who value event history off-camera. It is a narrower fit for households with mixed camera brands or anyone who needs recording behavior independent of camera model. Documentation is the listed support channel, so buyers who want other support routes may prefer a different option.
