Our verdict on EvenX
EvenX is a free shared-expense and bill-splitting app for roommates, travelers, couples, friends, and group events. It runs on the web, iOS, and Android, letting people create groups, add shared expenses, choose how each cost is divided, and review balances alongside expense history. Recurring shared expenses make it suitable for ongoing household or group costs as well as one-time trips and events.
Its core strength is flexibility in splitting and settling. Members can divide an expense equally, assign custom amounts, or use percentages. Groups synchronize expense and settlement updates in real time across supported platforms, while automatic net-balance calculation reduces the number of payments needed to settle up. Settlement records can be created for group review, approved or rejected, and marked as settled after payment occurs outside the app.
