Our verdict on Eve
Eve is a mobile AI girlfriend app for adults who want more than text chat. Users can choose ready-made AI girlfriend characters or create custom companions by defining appearance, personality, voice, backstory, and interests. Conversations can include text, voice messages, live audio calls, AI-generated requested photos, and paired photos of the user and companion. Eve also supports conversation memory, interactive stories, and relationship levels, giving it a broad feature set for users seeking an ongoing AI companion experience.
The app uses a freemium model with a free plan and a three-day free trial. Paid access is organized into Weekly access, Monthly access, Annual access, and Annual premium access, with each plan offering premium access. Eve is available on iOS and Android, so it fits users who want a mobile-first experience across the two major mobile platforms. The strongest reason to consider it is customization: the companion’s identity, voice, interests, and backstory can be shaped before conversations begin, while memory and relationship progression support continuity over time.
Eve’s breadth also defines its boundaries. It is focused on AI companionship rather than general-purpose productivity, creative work, or business communication, and its adult-oriented positioning makes it unsuitable for younger users. Anyone looking for voice interaction, image generation, custom characters, and relationship features in one mobile app should find a strong fit. Users who prefer a non-romantic assistant, a desktop-first product, or an open-source system should choose a different type of AI tool.
