Our verdict on EquityList
EquityList is a web-based equity and shareholder management platform for startups, private companies, and listed businesses. It brings cap tables, employee grants, digital grant letters, vesting schedules, exercises, buybacks, valuations, dashboards, and compliance reporting into one system. The product is aimed at founders, finance, HR, legal, investors, and employees managing equity through company formation and later-stage operations. It supports ESOP, RSU, and SAR programs, including multi-entity and cross-border management.
Pricing starts with a Free plan at $0 per month, billed monthly. It includes cap table management, standard reporting, stakeholder dashboards, AI-assisted onboarding, and email and Intercom support. The Build plan costs $100 per month with annual billing or $125 per month with monthly billing, adding equity pool management, security issuance, investor updates, an activity log, and 5,000 AI credits per month. Growth costs $292 per month on annual billing or $265 per month monthly; its listed capabilities include multi-entity support, exercise workflows, performance-based vesting, and priority support. Annual Growth billing includes 409A valuation. Enterprise adds integrations, SAML/SSO, custom exercise policies and workflows, custom dashboards, and a dedicated account manager.
The strongest fit is a small team that needs more than a basic cap table without moving immediately to an enterprise platform. Advanced time-based, performance-based, and custom vesting, employee offer portals, valuation workflows, tax reporting, and equity expense and dilution reporting give it meaningful operational depth. BambooHR, Keka, Darwinbox, and GreytHR integrations support selected HRMS workflows. The tradeoff is scale: the listed 10-recipient limit makes the product less suitable for broader employee equity programs, while teams needing wider award coverage or enterprise-scale administration should consider alternatives. Enterprise capabilities are available, but the published plan does not show a price.
