env zero is a cloud infrastructure governance platform for platform and infrastructure teams managing multiple infrastructure-as-code systems. It connects version-control repositories, cloud credentials, and IaC configurations to run plans, applies, scheduled deployments, and drift checks. Support covers Terraform, OpenTofu, Terragrunt, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, and Helm, with GitOps workflows, approval policies, role-based access control, cost estimation, state management, and audit logging. It fits teams that want one control layer across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure, with web, API, and self-hosted options.
The Free Tier includes up to 250 runs per month, up to 30 active environments, unlimited users and agents, and community support. Cloud Navigator adds IaC automation and GitOps, basic drift management, RBAC, and ready-to-use policies; its pricing is custom and based on successful applies or environments. Cloud Pilot uses the same pricing approach and adds the AI-powered Cloud Analyst, advanced drift analysis, remediation and monitoring, cost management, and self-hosted VCS. This makes the free plan suitable for evaluating core workflows, while larger governance requirements map to the paid tiers.
Breadth is env zero’s defining strength. Teams can connect GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, enterprise and offline repository options, plus Slack, Microsoft Teams, and webhooks. OPA-based policies, managed or self-hosted remote state, self-hosted Kubernetes and Docker deployment agents, resource import, RBAC, and audit logs support controlled infrastructure operations. The trade-off is focus: teams seeking a narrower GitOps delivery tool may find its Terraform-to-cloud governance scope broader than necessary. Choose env zero when mixed IaC, policy controls, and drift management matter together; choose a more focused option when delivery workflows are the only priority.
