Our verdict on Endlink
Endlink is an open-source, self-hosted proxy for Minecraft Bedrock networks running multiple Endstone or Bedrock Dedicated Server backends. It keeps players on one connection while they move between servers, with backend failover and forced-host routing for directing connections. Proxy-owned authentication can protect offline-mode backends, while permissions and administration commands provide network management. Java servers can also serve as backends through Geyser, making Endlink a fit for Bedrock-focused networks that need to connect several server types.
Its standout feature set is the combination of player transfer and Bedrock-specific translation. Endlink supports Minecraft Bedrock version and registry translation, resource-pack serving, and backend pack caching. The published compatibility details cover Minecraft 1.26.40–1.26.51 clients, with documented backends including 1.26.40–1.26.45 and 1.26.50. Security and traffic controls include rate limiting, session caps, packet limits, and connection cookies. Integrations with Endstone, Bedrock Dedicated Server, EndlinkGuard, Geyser, and ViaEndlink extend its role across a connected server network.
Endlink is distributed as a Java application and includes an addon API, with plugins discovered at startup. That gives administrators a path to extend proxy behavior, but the self-hosted model places deployment and ongoing operation with the network owner. The project is described by its maintainers as production-used while still young, and broad translation for older versions remains incomplete. Choose Endlink if your network is centered on Bedrock clients, needs failover and routing, and can manage its own proxy infrastructure. Networks requiring broad legacy-version translation or a managed deployment should consider a different approach.
