Our verdict on Emergent
Emergent is an AI-powered development platform for founders, developers, product managers, operators, and non-coders who want to describe an application in natural language. It generates interfaces, application logic, backend services, databases, authentication, integrations, and deployment workflows. The platform supports web applications and cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android using Expo and React Native, with live previews, testing, debugging, health checks, hosted deployment, and downloadable generated code.
The plan structure makes the product accessible for early exploration. The Free plan includes 10 monthly credits, core platform features, web and mobile experiences, and one-click LLM integration. According to the vendor's pricing cards, Standard costs $20 per month with annual billing and adds 100 monthly credits, mobile app development, private project hosting, GitHub integration, custom domains, and deployments. Pro costs $200 per month with annual billing and includes 750 monthly credits, a 1M context window, custom AI agent creation, Expo/React Native mobile development, and priority support. Enterprise adds user-level credit limits, audit logs, self-hosted database support, VPC deployment, role-based access control, and single sign-on.
Emergent's main distinction is breadth: one workflow covers generation, backend and database creation, authentication, testing, deployment, and code access. Its integration set includes GitHub, Stripe, Supabase, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Airtable, Calendly, Razorpay, Slack, Twilio, SendGrid, Resend, Google Suite, and external APIs. Custom AI agents, configurable instructions, and web-to-mobile or mobile-to-web conversion extend that workflow. Choose Emergent when a project needs AI-generated full-stack applications across web and mobile; teams requiring enterprise controls should consider the Enterprise plan, while smaller projects with limited credit needs may prefer the Free plan.
