Our verdict on Emailit
Emailit is an email platform for developers and marketers managing transactional and marketing email. Its REST API supports sending and email workflows, while SMTP relay sends through smtp.emailit.com. The platform also covers domain management, sending-domain verification, reusable templates with versioning and publishing, contact and audience management, suppressions, email verification, analytics, and inbound email processing. It is available through the web and API, with SMTP and MCP listed as integrations.
Pricing is based on prepaid, one-time credit bundles rather than mandatory monthly subscriptions. Starter costs $20 for 100,000 credits, and Growth costs $45 for 250,000 credits. Scale costs $500 for 5,000,000 credits. Additional one-time options include 500,000 credits for $80, 1,000,000 credits for $140, and 2,500,000 credits for $300. API and SMTP sends consume one credit per email, and the published plans state that credits do not expire. This structure suits teams that prefer upfront purchasing and flexible usage over recurring monthly plans.
Emailit’s broad feature set is its main distinction within email infrastructure: teams can send through API or SMTP, receive inbound email through MX routing and the Get Email API, and respond to delivery, bounce, complaint, and inbound-email events with webhooks. Templates, domains, subscribers, suppressions, and verification lists are managed in the same product. An optional dedicated sending IP is available, with pricing listed separately at $300 per year. Emailit is a fit for teams wanting multiple email workflow components in one platform; teams seeking a free plan or a monthly subscription model should consider an alternative.
