Our verdict on EGroupware

EGroupware is an open-source collaboration and groupware platform for businesses, administrations, schools, universities, and other organizations. Its shared calendars support permissions, team views, invitations, alternative appointment searches, and video-conference links. Calendar synchronization covers CalDAV, ActiveSync, and the Outlook synchronizer, while mobile access is available through a browser. The wider platform adds contacts, tasks, projects, email, files, CRM, ticketing, workflows, chat, and online document editing through Collabora Online. It is available as a hosted service or for installation on an organization’s own infrastructure, with web, Linux, Windows, and macOS support.

The pricing structure supports several organizational models. The free Community Edition provides basic functionality, open-source access, and unlimited users. The eCloud NGO plan costs €21.90 per month for NGOs, associations, and schools, with 20 GB, unlimited users, a minimum of two concurrent users, and Jitsi meetings. The eCloud plan costs €24.90 per month for companies of all sizes with the same storage, user, concurrency, and meeting highlights. eFlat School costs €1,295 per year and includes 100 GB and unlimited concurrent users.
