EasyEffects is an open-source Linux application for processing PipeWire-managed application audio and microphones. It suits users who need more control than a basic system volume panel, including application-specific processing, microphone cleanup, equalization, compression, reverberation, stereo processing, and other effects. Its application enablement and exclusion controls make it relevant for setups where different programs need different audio treatment.

The standout capability is the configurable processing chain. Users can order effects, create or import presets, and choose from tools such as a 1–32-band parametric equalizer, filters, convolution, compression, reverberation, and stereo processing. RNNoise-based noise reduction adds microphone-focused cleanup, while custom model import provides another way to tailor that processing. Together, these controls give EasyEffects a broad feature set within a single Linux audio application rather than limiting it to one narrow adjustment.

EasyEffects fits most directly into a PipeWire-based Linux environment and is distributed through Linux distribution packages and Flatpak. Integrations with PipeWire, RNNoise, Linux Studio Plugins, and Flatpak support that ecosystem, although some effects require additional plugin dependencies. The Linux-only scope also makes platform fit an important deciding factor. Choose EasyEffects if you want open-source application and microphone processing with detailed chains and presets; choose an alternative if you need support beyond Linux or do not want to manage PipeWire and related dependencies.
