easyDNS GeoDNS review
A focused GeoDNS add-on for teams that need location-based DNS answers and failover.

easyDNS GeoDNS lets DNS administrators return different responses according to the geographic origin of a query. Rules can target a continent or an individual country, with support for A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, NAPTR, and CAA records. It is aimed at teams that need location-based answers within DNS, rather than a broader set of routing approaches. The service is included with easyDNS Enterprise and is offered as an add-on for other service levels, making it most relevant to organizations already considering easyDNS DNS services.
The published plans show GeoDNS with DNS Pro at $39.95 per year, while an Enterprise DNS subscription block costs $70 per month and includes GeoDNS for a five-domain block. There is no free plan. These options give smaller deployments an annual add-on route and organizations with a larger DNS requirement a monthly block. The Enterprise price is separate from the DNS Pro add-on, so buyers should compare the two plan structures against the domains they intend to manage.
Geographic decisions generally use the resolver's IP address; EDNS Client Subnet is used when supported. That makes the feature a fit for geographic response policies, not a solution for teams seeking multiple kinds of traffic steering. GeoDNS can also be combined with easyDNS host monitoring and DNS failover, and its settings are enabled and configured in the DNS settings interface. Amazon Route 53, Linode, DigitalOcean, and CIRA D-Zone are listed integrations. Choose it if geographic targeting across common DNS records and failover pairing fit your DNS setup; consider an alternative if geographic routing alone is too narrow.
