EAS Observe review
A focused Expo observability service for launch, navigation, and release performance.

EAS Observe is a production performance monitoring service for Expo and React Native applications. It is designed for developers and teams building and distributing mobile apps who need visibility into startup, rendering, navigation, network, update download, and user-defined event performance. Teams can investigate individual sessions, inspect route-level timings, compare app versions and OTA updates, and query metrics through the EAS dashboard or EAS CLI. It supports web, iOS, and Android, with integrations for Expo Router, React Navigation, and EAS Update.
The published plans show a Free tier with 100,000 Observe events per month, 90 days of data retention, and access to the main Observe dashboard. Starter costs $19 per month and adds access to current and future observability dashboards while increasing the allowance to 500,000 events. Production costs $199 per month and adds priority support and single sign-on. Enterprise includes the same listed event allowance, retention, dashboard access, priority support, and single sign-on, with custom pricing. EAS Observe access is included with Expo Application Services plans, so these prices apply to EAS plans rather than a separate Observe-only subscription.
Its strongest focus is app performance: cold and warm launch, bundle load, first render, time to interactive, per-route navigation, launch network requests, and EAS Update downloads are all covered. Session timelines and release comparisons make it suitable for teams tracking changes across versions and OTA updates. The scope is narrower for teams seeking broader mobile reliability coverage: ANR monitoring is not included, session replay is absent, and JavaScript error and native crash reporting are available in preview. Choose EAS Observe for Expo-centered performance and release analysis; consider an alternative if crash and stability monitoring are the primary requirement.
