Duplicacy is a cross-platform file-backup application for individuals, businesses, and IT service providers. It backs up files and directories from Windows, macOS, and Linux computers to cloud storage, local disks, SFTP servers, WebDAV, and compatible object-storage services. A web-based interface and command-line engine support scheduled jobs, file restoration to a selected destination, email notifications, and backup management. It is best suited to technical users who want control over storage targets rather than a broader disaster-recovery suite.

Storage flexibility is a central strength. Duplicacy integrates with Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Dropbox, Google Cloud Storage, Google Drive, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft OneDrive, Wasabi, DigitalOcean Spaces, SFTP, WebDAV, local disks, and S3-compatible storage. Lock-free deduplication can reduce repeated backup data, while client-side or storage encryption protects backups. Backup integrity checking, copying between compatible storages, and revision pruning through retention rules add useful control for multi-destination or maintenance-focused workflows.

Pricing is organized by license type. The Personal License costs $20 per computer annually and covers personal files on one home computer. The Commercial License costs $50 per computer annually with no personal-use limitation. The CLI License costs $50 per computer annually for running the CLI version on one computer, while the CLI version is free for personal use. A free plan is available, and the web-based GUI includes a 30-day backup trial. Choose Duplicacy for file-level backup with varied storage targets and command-line access; choose an alternative when mobile backup or full-system disaster recovery is required.
