DUIADNS review
A flexible DDNS option for IPv6-aware home networks and router-based LAN updates.

DUIADNS is a dynamic DNS service for home and dual-stack networks that need changing IPv4 or IPv6 addresses mapped to stable hostnames. It suits users who want shared DUIADNS domains or custom domains, including households with devices behind a router. Its IPv6 for LAN feature is particularly relevant when a compatible router needs to update IPv6 addresses for devices on the local network. Desktop clients are available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, alongside router clients or packages for several platforms.
The plan structure covers both simple and more demanding setups. Personal is free at €0 per year and includes two hostnames, shared DUIADNS domains, 1,000 DNS queries per day, a 300-second TTL, IPv6 for LAN, and A and AAAA records. Custom is also free at €0 per year, with two hostnames per domain and support for bringing your own domain. Personal+ raises the hostname limit to 10, removes the DNS query limit, lowers TTL to 60 seconds, and adds CNAME and TXT records. Custom+ supports 250 hostnames per domain, up to 15 domains, unlimited queries, a 60-second TTL, and A, AAAA, CNAME, TXT, MX, SRV, and CAA records.
DUIADNS has a focused feature set rather than a broad automation ecosystem. Telegram notifications can report address changes, while downloadable desktop and router clients cover common operating systems and network equipment scenarios. The service is a strong fit for IPv6-aware home networks, self-hosted services, and users who need custom DNS records without starting with a paid plan. Choose another option if you need a simpler provider with fewer plan distinctions, or if your router is not supported by the available clients and packages.
