Driver Magician review
A focused Windows driver utility with broad backup tools but no wider optimization suite.

Driver Magician is a paid Windows desktop utility for backing up, restoring, updating, and removing device drivers. It is aimed at people who need to preserve driver configurations, restore them later, identify unknown hardware, or prepare driver packages for Windows recovery work. The product supports 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11, while the category specification lists Windows 10 and 11 support. Its license covers one computer, making the volume plans relevant for organizations or users managing multiple systems.
Pricing is built around a one-time purchase rather than an annual subscription. The Single license costs $29.95 per license. Volume licensing costs $22 per unit for 2–9 units, $17 for 10–24, $14 for 25–49, $11 for 50–99, $9 for 100–199, $7.5 for 200–499, and $6 for 500+. These plans provide the same listed volume-licensing model at different quantities. There is no free plan for the paid product, although the vendor separately offers Driver Magician Lite with freeware driver backup functionality and a narrower feature set.
Its main strength is the depth of its driver-focused toolkit. Driver Magician can back up drivers in multiple modes, restore them, download available updates, uninstall drivers, detect unknown devices, and create auto-setup packages that restore drivers without first installing the application. It can also back up items such as My Documents and Desktop, with live updates for device and driver databases. That focused scope is also the key boundary: it is not a broader PC optimizer, and it does not include scheduling or restore points. Choose it for structured driver preservation across Windows computers; choose an alternative if system-wide optimization or automated scheduling is central to the requirement.
