DotFix NiceProtect is a Windows desktop protection tool for native applications built with Delphi, Visual C++, C++ Builder, Qt, Visual Basic 6, MASM and other compilers. It is designed for individual developers, development teams and companies protecting EXE, DLL and OCX files from reverse engineering. The tool supports Windows XP through Windows 11 and uses a perpetual license model. Its protection set includes code virtualization through a custom virtual machine, metamorphic instruction mutation, metadata and RTTI obfuscation, compression, resource encryption, anti-debugging, anti-tracing and anti-tamper structures.

Pricing is organized around individual and company licensing, with separate 32-bit and 32/64-bit options. The Individual Standard License costs $149 one-time for single developers protecting 32-bit Windows applications, while the Individual Professional License costs $199 one-time and adds 64-bit application support. The Company Standard License costs $329 one-time for development teams and companies using 32-bit applications; the Company Professional License costs $379 one-time for 32-bit and 64-bit applications. Registered users can purchase one-time updates for $69 or $99 on individual plans and $239 or $269 on company plans, depending on architecture coverage. Commercial licenses include one year of updates and support, while the product remains functional afterward.

NiceProtect’s strongest fit is for Windows-focused teams that want several protection layers and targeted control over protected code. SDK markers can select code sections, and MAP-file-based targeting can identify functions, while IEEE Taggant signing applies to licensed protected files. These options give developers more control than a basic executable compressor. The main boundary is platform scope: it protects Windows applications rather than software targeting other operating systems. Buyers should choose it when perpetual licensing, native Windows support and a broad protection toolkit matter; teams needing cross-platform coverage or ongoing updates and technical support beyond the included year should consider alternatives.
