Our verdict on DoneTonic
DoneTonic is a cloud-based project-management application for teams using Scrum or Kanban. Its core workflow spans product backlog prioritization, PBI management, sprint planning, generated Scrum boards, task assignment and progress tracking. Teams can also map user stories, manage releases, and use Kanban boards with customizable states and WIP limits. Web, iOS and Android access makes it a fit for teams that want to coordinate work across desktop and mobile, particularly smaller teams looking for a free starting point.
The free “Give me five” plan supports 5 users, unlimited workspaces, projects, tasks and PBIs, with 100 MB of storage. The paid “Get it Done” plan adds unlimited users, 10 GB of storage, task templates, PBI automation between sprints, additional roles and premium support. According to the vendor’s pricing page, it costs $15 per user per month with monthly billing or $8 per user per month with annual billing; paid subscriptions normally include a 21-day trial.
